It’s time to take a step toward ultimate convenience in your audio/visual world. Imagine controlling all of your audio and video sources from any room with a keypad! Touch screen control distributes audio/video sources to separate listening zones simultaneously. So, you can control your components from any keypad in the house or by using a remote. Load all of your CD’s and MP3’s and access them from any room in the house. Using easy-to-navigate screens on your TV or computer, choose random playback or create playlists for maximum listening flexibility.
Plasma / LCD / Projection (front & rear)
The advantage of LCD television is that you need less power for operation and your TV will generate less heat than a plasma model. In an LCD TV, liquid crystals are sandwiched between two glass plates. Since liquid crystals are not luminous by themselves, fluorescent lamps produce light behind them so they become visible to the viewer.
Although Plasma television technology eliminates the need for the bulky picture tube, because it burns phosphors to generate the images, Plasma televisions still generate heat and can screen-burn static images.

Plasma vs LCD
The advantages of Plasma over LCD:
- Available in larger screen sizes
- Better contrast ratio and ability to display deeper blacks
- Better color accuracy and saturation
- Better motion tracking (little or no motion lag in fast moving images)
The disadvantage of Plasma vs LCD:
- Plasma TVs are more susceptible to burn-in of static images
- Plasma TVs generate more heat than LCDs
- Plasma tv’s don’t perform as well at higher altitudes
- Potentially shorter display life span - this used to be the case. Early Plasmas had 30,000 hours or 8 hrs of viewing a day for 9 years, which was less than LCD. However, screen life span has now improved and 60,000 hour life span rating are now common, with some sets rated as high as 100,000 hours, due to technology improvements.
LCD television advantages over plasma:
- No burn-in of images that may remain on the screen for long periods of time
- Cooler running temperature
- No high altitude issues
- Increased image brightness
- Lighter physical weight (when comparing same screen sizes) than Plasma counterparts
- Longer display life used to be a factor, but now LCD and Plasma sets both have at least 60,000 hour or higher lifespans
Disadvantages of LCD vs Plasma televisions:
- Lower contrast ratio, not as good at displaying deep blacks
- Not as good at tracking motion (fast moving objects may exhibit lag shadows) - However, this has been steadily improving
